Kelsey

Speech Pathologist - 3 years of experience

Kelsey is a bubbly, caring and creative Speechie with a client/family-centered approach to therapy.

After completing her studies in 2020, Kelsey hit the ground running. She immediately began working in paediatrics providing support to both NDIS and private clients in school, home and community settings and clinical spaces, before joining the Therapedia team in 2023.

With a passion for literacy, Kelsey has also completed additional training in the world of orofacial myology, early language skills and augmentative and alternative communication (AAC).

Another member of our animal-loving team, Kelsey had dreams of becoming a vet when she grew up. Nowadays, while delighting in her clients, if she could be any animal, Kelsey would want to be a Platypus so she could lay in the warm sun, breathe air whilst being able to swing underwater for 10 minutes and hang out with family and friends all day!

Viv

Speech Pathologist - 6 years of experience • she/her

Viv is a committed Speechie who knows her stuff!

Considerate and wonderfully warm, Viv loves working with kids and their families to support them to become more confident in their communicative interactions. She believes Speech Pathology is the most rewarding role and is passionate about addressing functional goals which are important to the individual.

An excellent communicator, Viv is also experienced in working with early childhood educators to enhance their knowledge of Speech Pathology strategies to support children’s language and speech development.

She prides herself on her continued training in key areas and has completed Hanen training, Secret Agent Society training, Soundswrite Phonics Program training and uses Key Word Sign to support children’s communication development. She is also trained in understanding and engaging with children who have experienced complex trauma and has also completed the Lifeline Accidental Counsellor workshop.

Thanks to watching countless hours of CSI, Viv wanted to be a crime scene investigator when she was younger. If she could be any animal, she would choose a whale so she could spend all her time in the ocean. With her impressive Speechie skills, we're sure she could learn to speak whale (just like Dory)!

Sally

Registered Psychologist - 5 years of experience • she/her

Sally is a fun, caring and engaging Registered Psychologist with a warm, practical and creative approach to therapy.

Great with kids, big and small, Sally has an obvious passion for learning and loves to use creative interventions to make sessions interactive and personalised.

She's an LGTBQIA+ ally with a specialised interest in childhood trauma and attachment and has completed training in Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) for children and adolescents, Schema therapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) and Eye Movement Desensitisation and Reprocessing Therapy (EMDR). She has recently completed Trauma Focused Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (TF-ACT) and is trained in the reflective parenting ‘Bringing Up Great Kids’ program.

In another life, Sally may have followed her childhood dream of becoming a vet and her spirit animal is a seahorse... Why you might ask? Seahorses combine Sally's love of the country side (horse) and love of the ocean (sea). Plus, their genus is 'hippocampus' which is a brain region often talked about in psychology :)
